Small Businesses without a website cite cost as the main obstacle

26% of small businesses without a website cite cost as the key obstacle.

28% of small business websites cost less than $500 to build while 13% of small business pay more than $25,000 for a new website.  The chart shows the break down for website pricing.

Many DIY website solutions exist where the small business owner can build a great looking/working website without having to pay a web developer huge sums of money.  However, we always encourage business owners to look at the time cost factor.  For the average business owner making $80,000 and only working full time (2,080 hours), taking 30 hours to build your own website will cost $1,140.
